Q: What is the difference between this bundle and the standard OBDSTAR P50?
A: This listing includes both the P50 airbag reset tool and the CAN FD adapter in one package. The CAN FD adapter is required for Hyundai/Kia TC2xxx and Toyota R7F7016443/R7F7016843 bench airbag reset (2020+ models). If you buy the standard P50, the adapter must be purchased separately.

Q: Which cars need the CAN FD adapter for airbag reset?
A: Hyundai/Kia models with TC2xxx SRS modules and Toyota/Lexus models with R7F7016443 or R7F7016843 SRS ECUs (mostly 2020 and newer). For other brands, the included P004 adapter covers standard CAN and K-line bench work.

Q: Can it erase crash data on encrypted RH850 SRS modules?
A: Yes, but that requires the optional MP001 Programmer together with the RH850/V850 Adapter Kit (sold separately). With that combination the P50 covers encrypted RH850 SRS ECUs on Subaru, Toyota/Lexus, Volvo, Polestar, Geely, Zeekr, Tesla, Ford/Lincoln, Land Rover/Jaguar and more – see the MCU list above.

Q: Does it support odometer correction or cluster calibration?
A: Not by default. The P50 supports an optional authorization that unlocks cluster calibration and oil/service reset functions (same functions as OBDSTAR ODO Master). Contact us if you need that license.

Q: Is SAS reset included?
A: Yes. The SAS (steering angle sensor) reset function is built in.

Q: How do updates work?
A: One year of free online updates is included from activation. After the first year, an update service can be purchased. The device works offline after update; language is English.
